There was 11 Girl Scouts (One of them being my little sister Emily)
and she expressed interest and joy from meeting our boxers and I
figured other girls her age would also like to learn about the breed
and the rescue.
We 1st talked to the girls about the Breed with some facts and fun
info. We then talked about what we do here at the MN Boxer Rescue
and they thought it was great! They then gave us donations and
things on our website that we needed (Blankets, food bowls, etc.) As
one of the crafts we had them make thank you cards that I am going
to mail out to the families that adopted from us that says their troop
# on the back (Tons of stickers and glitter and hard work went into
each card!)
There was a reporter there from the Belle Plaine Herald that took
pictures and got info for the paper on MN Boxer rescue!! Yay!
All went well and we received many donations and hopefully
educated more people on why rescue is the way to go and how great
boxers are!!
