Vincent

A special thanks to Jen & Dan. What a great home for this serious man. I hope he
spends many nights curled around your feet and days filled of grass, horses and
sunshine. Thank you for giving this boy one of the most fabulous homes. Let me
know when you are rescuing humans!

Did some one say TREAT?
Look at my new
country house.
Seriously I can deal
with the horses for
this kind of living!
A letter from Vinny's New Parents (FEB 2008) AND PICTURES!
In September 2007, we lost our Rhodesian Ridgeback suddenly and unexpectedly. We
were devastated to find him lying dead next to the house dead at the young age of 1-1/2.
Just five minutes earlier, he happily greeted us at the fence. We quickly applied CPR
and rushed him to the vet just 5 minutes away. The vet dropped everything and ran to
check him out. “I’m sorry,” he said. “There’s nothing we can do. He’s gone.” The vet
thought he must have had a heart attack or cardiac arrest the way he died so suddenly
and quickly.

Weeks went by, and there was no relief from the dull ache of emptiness in our hearts
without Zu. We began to search the online rescue sites to find a new dog, and then I
stumbled upon the MN Boxer Rescue and saw three Boxer/Doberman pups: Nike,
Nouley, and Newt. I quickly replied with a few questions, and on my birthday in
October I received pictures of Nouley. My heart leaped! I quickly called Danielle, one of
the volunteers and she was willing to stop by with Nouley. It was love at first sight.
What a wonderful birthday gift!
Since that day, Nouley (aka Vinny, Vincent Van Gough, Vin-Vin, Monkey Boy) has
grown into a loveable 65 lbs. of legs; and he’s not done growing! While he doesn’t
replace our fond memories of Zu, he has filled our hearts full of love. He is a gregarious,
intelligent, huggable couch potato and enjoys life on our farm with his sisters, Asiago
and Charlie.
Thank you Danielle and everyone who gives of their time to foster dogs in need of
homes.
