When I first saw Gina on your website, I knew she was the one for me. Was it her eyes, her sad look,
or just the overwhelming call for my love? Gina had a heart attack a week before I brought her home,
she was missing hair on both sides of her back, and was 20lbs overweight with a huge sty or cist on
her eye. She was scared of the city noise, the car, and even being alone.
BUT GOOD NEWS...... It has been 2 months since owning Gina and her birthday was yesterday!!!
I am writing to you all to let you know that I cannot imagine my life without Gina now. Shane
and I love her so much!!! Please see attached pictures of her cuddling on the couch, her playing
with her ball and smiling!! She is now a healthy 57.5 lbs. (lost almost 20 lbs) as of today at the vet.
All of her hair has returned and her coat is so nice and shiny, and tonight her sty fell off of her eye!!!!
She cuddles with us in bed every night and with me on the couch while I work every day. She still
licks us when we come home, but doesn't jump up as much. She looks at me with those,
"mommmmmmaaaaaaaaa" eyes when she wants to go outside, for a walk, or for a car ride. I always
give in as she is just the sweetest thing ever. I have had dozens of people ask me what kind of dog
she is, and tell me her temper is so mild and loving. I will never ever have any other type of
dog..boxers love to be loved, love to make their moms and dads happy, and just live to be cuddled.....I
wrap her in blankets, she loves it.
Gina is so nice and thin now and healthy that she will jump up on her hind legs when you come
home and hop in the air.....she runs so fast, and we have a game where after she goes potty, she runs
as fast as she can around the house to the front door...this is called, "going home". A leash is really
not needed at all with her!!!
I want to thank all of you at the Boxer rescue for having enough faith in a sick dog with possibly a
huge heart failure issue. You put lots of money and love into my Gina before I found you and I thank
you for every cent. She is so loved and gives us so much love, I dont know how to explain how much
she means to us, thank you thank you thank you!!!
Tina and Shane
