Hello! My name is Tula! Sometimes I hear my new foster parents call me Tulakins or Tula Hula, I don't care what they call me as long as they don't call me late for dinner, lunch, breakfast, snack time...well, you get the idea. See, where I come from they didn't think I needed much food and boy was I hungry! Anyway, I'm eating good now! I'm not even aggressive with my food, even with how hungry I was! I let my parents pet me, play with my food bowl when I'm eating and even let my new fur siblings try to sneak food from me. But, they get in big trouble for that!
I just arrived in MN last week, but so far my mom and dad say I have no real big "issues"..whatever that means. I'm told I'm really sweet and tiny for a boxer, and do the boxer wiggle so hard my whole body just shakes! I love to cuddle and give kisses. I do have something they call heartworm and will be starting treatment next week for that, but I should be ready for my furever home by the end of September. I'd love to have a new home for Thanksgiving so we can all be thankful for each other! ~~Wiggles and Kisses, Tula!
Hello, we are Tula's foster parents. She described herself pretty well. Our vet thinks she is about 3 yrs old. She really is a sweet dog, we are still learning about her but so far no aggression seen towards other dogs or people. She lets you handle her anyway you want. She does play pretty rough with our 2 boxers so probably a home with older kids is better, so she doesn't knock anyone over. She will be meeting some younger kids in the next few weeks, so we'll keep you posted about that. We are still unsure about her around cats. She growls, barks, and chases them around sometimes, other times she could care less if they are standing right next to her. She even has slept on the couch with them so I think with time she'll be just fine with cats. She needs obedience training as she was never taught even how to "sit". She does ok on the leash, doesn't pull too hard and that will only get better with time. She will make a wonderful addition to a loving family!
