Hi everyone! Can you tell from my sweet eyes that I have been through a lot in my 1st year of life? Well, I do hide it pretty well with my happy boxer wiggle and big smile on my face. Well, here is my story...

I am super special because I am deaf, and as easy as deaf dogs are to train, my previous owner didn't have the time and thought it would just be easier to put a shock collar on me and used it whenever they needed to get my attention... .boy oh boy, that hurt, and I am glad that now I am getting trained with hand signals and treats!! Now, if that wasn't bad enough, I was shot in the face by a neighbor with a bird shot last week :( I am ok, but the pellets from the bullet impaled my eye and they had to do some pretty extensive surgery to save my eye and make it so I could still see out of it a little. I am recovering well, but can't wait till all of the pellets removed so they don't hurt me anymore.

My foster parents say I am a very sweet and polite boy! I play well with other dogs and I don't even mind cats! My foster mom also says I am already doing so good training, I know sit and come.... I take treats SO gently! Next we will be working on down and stay....I'm not worried about learning these commands, I am a super smart boy! :)

When I play, I bounce like a kangaroo and sometimes even let out a playful bark (It sounds kinda funny since I can't hear myself!) I love to chew on Nyla bones and play with any and all toys!

I can't wait to start meeting people who will want to have me be a part of their forever family! I will need to live at a house with a fence and would do really well living with a hearing dog so they can help show me the ropes. That is not a necessity, but I would sure like it since I am so playful!

More updates to come after I meet with the vet this week to see how all of my wounds are healing up.
