Bridget was a breeder girl that came to MNBR in September of 2008 after
being dumped from a van into a ditch with her friend, Grace. Apparently,
the nasty puppy miller was “finished with them” and disposed of them in
one of the worst ways possible. Upon arrival into rescue, Bridget’s teeth
were in very bad shape and she had a very large mammory tumor that
needed to be removed. She was very afraid of humans and looked at them
like they were aliens. Bridget spent almost six months in her awesome
foster home (thank you Kris O.) but was really looking for her forever
home. We had decided to add a female dog to our family, in addition to our
two male Boxers. I had emailed Kris a couple of times inquiring about
Bridget. All I ever heard was what a mellow and sweet girl she was. I just
couldn’t figure out why she had no interest. After meeting her and having
her meet our dogs, we knew she would be the perfect match for our family.
(And it must have been fate because my childhood dog was named
Bridget!) She was very comfortable in our home on the home visit and just
fit right into the family, never skipping a beat. She has blossomed into a
beautiful, spunky and silly girl. She loves to play chase and box with her
fur brothers, Monty and Riggins, and knows what it is like to live a happy
and carefree life. It didn’t take her long to figure out that human beds and
sofas are the only way to relax now! She’s slept in our bed every night since
we got her and she loves to cuddle on the couch. I cannot say enough
wonderful things about this little girl. I can’t imagine what her life was like
before but I’m sure it was horrible for her. We are all helping her make up
for lost time now and she is definitely a spoiled little Princess. Our family
would like to thank Minnesota Boxer Rescue and South Dakota Boxer
Rescue for working together to get Bridget (and Grace) to a safe and loving
environment. We love her and can’t imagine life without her.
Sincerely,
Jeremy, Valerie, Sam, Monty, Riggins and Bridget Current
