Hello everyone! My name apparently is Bess or Bessie as my foster family has been calling me. The new name is still taking some getting used to, sometimes I forget that it is my name and just don’t pay attention when my foster family calls me. When I first arrived here in Minnesota I was feeling really yucky and scared I didn’t want to leave my buddy Frankie, he was all that was familiar to me, and suddenly he was just gone! Then I found out I was going to a foster home with a new buddy Teazer and I wasn’t as scared. I didn’t like my new home at first, these people gave me a bath and cleaned out my ears which was really unpleasant but now I can hear better. Then they gave me lots of FOOD and I decided that I would forgive them for what they did to me. The next day I went and saw this nice vet lady who told me I have heart worm, an ear infection (no wonder my ears hurt!), and poor nutrition but after spending the day at the vet I feel much better! I get to enjoy being outside laying in the grass and I have stolen my foster brothers’ bed but he doesn’t seem to mind and it’s my favorite spot in the house. Would one of you please tell my foster parents to let me play with Teazer? I feel the best I have felt in a long time!
Hi – this is Bessie’s foster mom. I just wanted to let you know that Bess is an adorable little girl. She has had her first injection for heart worm and is ok with staying calm but I can tell she wishes she could run, jump, and play. I think that she knows she isn’t well yet because if she gets to hyper she appears to settle herself down and when I give her a toy I see in her eyes a dog that wants to play but just can’t right now and only puts partial effort into playing with it. She is very well mannered and a joy to have in our house. She loves to know where everyone in the house is and feels very left out if someone leaves the room and she can’t go with. She is very house trained although I don’t know how well she would do in a kennel all day since the longest night she has slept so far has been 7 hours. I think she was fed people food since she begs for it but she has not taken anything that has been left out, not even dog biscuits! She waits for them to be given to her. Overall she is a very loving girl and once she is through with the heart worm treatment I expect to see a lot more of the boxer puppy personality showing. She is already trying to play with my dog Teazer and I have caught her turning circles in joy multiple times. It’s really too bad that I have to get her to stop since it is so much fun to watch and shows she is very happy..
My adoption fee is $350.00
