Hi, my name is Baxter, and I am a handsome 3-4 year old brindle boy. I consider myself very lucky as I was in what they refer to as a high kill shelter in TN, before finding my way up to MN to find my forever home.
I am not sharing much of my past, but my foster mom says I have a very kind nature. I showed off a little and demonstrated for her how I can sit, lay, and shake! I know she was impressed because she rewarded me with yummy treats! I am really good in the house and I know to go outside to do my business. Sometimes I have to go into my crate and I will whine a little, but then I just go to sleep and dream about my family coming home soon. My mom says I have the cutest wiggle! I wag my nub all the time for her to see just how appreciative I am to have any attention.
I am good with cats, dogs and I really like kids! Okay...I was a little unsure where I fit in with my foster family so I grumbled just a little bit at my fur brother and sister. I wasn't mean or anything, just trying to figure things out. Well, finally my fur sister just sat on me and told me that is not how things work in this house. I cried uncle and haven't felt the need to do it again.
I am really enjoying my new routine. I like to relax near my family and in a few short days I earned the right to sleep outside of my crate at night. I have the most comfortable dog bed in my human's room that I fall asleep on and don't move until it is time to get up.
I would love to become your most loyal friend. I am currently being treated for heartworms and I need to have this "bump" removed so it will be a couple of weeks before I am ready to go to my new home, but trust me...I am well worth the wait! Boxer hugs and kisses until we meet!
