Abigail

Hello! My name is Abigail and it's about time I introduce myself to the group! I am a lovely flashy fawn girl and am two or three years old. I used to live in Arkansas and somehow ended up in a shelter. My friends at MN Boxer Rescue and other Rescues worked together to get me out safely. I started my long journey to Minnesota on April 18th and arrived in St. Paul the next evening. I am so grateful to all of my friends that volunteered their time to drive me all of those miles! I enjoyed meeting each of you and can't thank you enough!

I met my new Mom first and we fell in love. When I met my new Dad, he thought I was too good to be true! I'm a pretty mellow lady and wanted to be on my best behavior to make a good impression. It sure worked because they decided to adopt me by the end of the day! We spent the evening getting to know each other and going for a nice walk. I was pretty tired from all the travelling so I was looking forward to a good night's sleep. My mom and dad had this great bed for me, which they put next to their bed. They must have been confused because two people and a boxer can easily fit in a king bed. To help them understand this, I simply placed my chin at the foot of the bed, made one little whimper and looked at them with my big droopy eyes. In turn, my mom said OK come on up, and patted the bed. I hopped up and the rest is history.

I have grown to love my forever home. I have a kitty brother named Riley and we get along great. I am quite obedient, can sit, lie down, shake and stay (for a little bit!). I'm not always sure about other dogs, especially ones that like to jump around and make lots of noise, but I'm working on that. I guess Mom is going to take me to an obedience class in July. I'm excited because I hear we get lots of treats there!

Thank you again to MN Boxer Rescue and all of the volunteers who work so hard to find us forever homes!
Love,
Abigail

Hello from Abigail's mom! We have absolutely loved having Abigail as a part of our family. She came to us a couple of months ago and has been a complete joy! She was quite thin when we got her and her legs and shoulders were covered in scars. She is looking great these days¡Kstill trying to gain some weight, but that will happen over time. Regardless of what Abigail had been through prior to living with us, she came into our home with a trusting and loving heart. We are so grateful and blessed to have her. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have made her adoption and so many others possible!
